YOUR HAPPINESS SHOULD NOT LIVE & DIE WITH YOUR MARITAL STATUS.
As we celebrate the birth of our nation and the many freedoms we have, it got me thinking about our personal freedoms as women. Being a single woman is one of the most amazing things to experience in life. We are focusing on our dreams & goals, growing emotionally & spiritually, creating amazing friendships with other women and focusing on empowering each other….a very fulfilling life!
But being a single woman is not an easy thing to do. There are days when I really crave the company of a man, having that connection and feeling safe.
But within the last few months I have realized many profound truths….I don’t need to have a man in my life to feel like I’m living my best life…
…because I’m already living my best life.
I don’t need to have a man in my life just to say I have a meaningful relationship in my life…
…because I already have MANY wonderful relationships in my life.
I don’t need a man in my life to feel safe…
…since I have a great support system of friends & family.
I don’t need a man in my life to pursue my dreams…
…because I’m already pursuing them and succeeding!
After realizing these things, I have never felt more free or happy in my life.
Below is a portion of Scripture that is often overlooked regarding being single…

1 Corinthians Chapter 7 ~ Selected Verses
“ …8 But I say to the unmarried and to widows, it is good for them if they remain even as I am….23 You were bought with a price. Don’t become bondservants of men. 24 Brothers, let each man, in whatever condition he was called, stay in that condition with Yahweh (God). 25 Now concerning virgins, I have no commandment from , but I give my judgment as one who has obtained mercy from Yahweh to be trustworthy. 26 Therefore I think that because of the distress that is on us, that it’s good for a man to remain as he is…
31…For the mode of this world passes away. 32 But I desire to have you to be free from cares. He who is unmarried is concerned for the things of Yahweh, how he may please Yahweh; 33 but he who is married is concerned about the things of the world, how he may please his wife. 34 There is also a difference between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman cares about the things of Yahweh, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit. But she who is married cares about the things of the world—how she may please her husband. 35 This I say for your own profit; not that I may ensnare you, but for that which is appropriate, and that you may attend to Yahweh without distraction….
40 But she is happier if she stays as she is, in my judgment, and I think that I also have Yahweh’s Spirit.”

I’m not telling you to be single. That is your decision. But I can tell those of you that are struggling with being single that not only is it ok…it is amazing 🙂
